Tesla referral in Europe: 1,000 km of Supercharging in every country, and where 2,000 km came from

By the TeslaPromoCodes.com desk · published October 16, 2026

Short answer

Every European country we track, except the United Kingdom, showed 1,000 km of free Supercharging on Model 3 and Model Y on its latest capture, dated between June and October 2026. The UK page shows 650 miles. The "2,000 km" figure you see on some sites was real, but briefly: Tesla's French, German, Italian and Spanish pages showed 2,000 km in captures from April 23 to 27, 2026, and showed 1,000 km again in captures from May 8 (France, Germany, Spain) and May 12 (Italy).

This is the part people come for. Each row is read from Tesla's own referral page for that country, as copied by the Internet Archive, with the date of the newest capture we read.

The United Kingdom is the one European exception: Tesla's UK page showed 650 miles of free Supercharging on Model 3 and Model Y on October 4, 2026. We compare it with Ireland in Ireland vs the UK. No European referral page lists Cybertruck.

Some rows are older than others. That is not a sign the country differs; it is how often someone happened to save a referral page from that country. Rows whose newest capture is more than three months old carry an "older capture" chip in the matrix.

Where the 2,000 km figure came from

We first treated "2,000 km" as a stale or invented number, because none of the captures in our regular sample showed it. Then we read the spring captures one by one, and found it. For a short window in late April 2026, Tesla's own pages showed 2,000 km on Model 3 and Model Y:

Spring 2026 captures of Tesla referral pages, read from the page data. Model S and Model X still showed a cash amount in all of them.
CountryLast 1,000 km before2,000 km seen1,000 km again
FR FranceApril 22April 23May 8
DE GermanyApril 18April 24May 8
ES SpainApril 17April 23 and April 27May 8
IT ItalyApril 18April 23May 12

No capture between April 28 and May 7 exists for these four countries, so we cannot pin the exact end date. A Swiss capture from May 2 already showed 1,000 km, and Dutch captures from April 17 and May 8 both showed 1,000 km. What the record does show is narrow: 2,000 km appeared around April 23, 2026, and was gone in France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands by May 8 and in Italy by May 12.

So a page that says "Tesla doubled the benefit across Europe in April 2026" got the start right and missed the end. A page that says "2,000 km since April 30" has the date wrong on both sides. Neither describes what Tesla's pages showed from May onward, and every newest capture in the table above is from June 2026 or later.

If a site tells you the European benefit is 2,000 km today, ask it for the date of the Tesla page it read. Every newest capture we hold, from June 16 to October 2, 2026, shows 1,000 km.

Language versions: same country, same figure

Three countries have more than one Tesla referral page, one per language. They do not compete with each other.

The text changes with the language: "1.000 Gratis Supercharging-Kilometers" in Dutch, "1 000 Kilomètres de Supercharge gratuite" in French, "1000 Chilometri di ricariche gratuite" in Italian. The number does not. Picking the French version over the German one in Switzerland, or the Dutch one over the French one in Belgium, gets you the same 1,000 km. Choose the language you want to read your order documents in. Switzerland has its own country page with the Swiss details.

Austria and Germany: one language, two countries

The reverse case matters more. Austria and Germany share a language, and the referral pages read almost word for word the same. They are still separate countries with separate programs. Tesla's German terms carry "Gültig ab 5. September 2024. Aktualisiert am 4. Juni 2025." and the Austrian terms "Gültig ab 16. Oktober 2024. Aktualisiert am 4. Juni 2025.". Tesla's terms make the program subject to the local laws of the buyer's registration address (US wording; the Turkish and other terms we read say the same). So an Austrian buyer orders through Tesla Austria, and a German link is not a better link. Both pages showed the same 1,000 km on their newest captures.

Nordic and Central European countries: the old cash amounts

Where the countries really differed in 2026 was on Model S and Model X. In January 2026 every European country listed cash off those two models, in local money, and the amounts show how Tesla set them per currency:

Model S and Model X buyer benefit on the earliest 2026 capture per country. Gone from every European page by the newest capture.

The euro countries listed 500 € in the same period. Those cash amounts were still on French, German, Spanish and Dutch pages in May 2026 captures. None of them is on any European page in the newest captures, so they are history, not an offer. We do not print a removal date because we do not have one per country.

What is genuinely different between countries

  • The UK unit. 650 miles in the UK, 1,000 km everywhere else. These are two different figures, not one converted.
  • Terms dates. Each country's terms carry their own "effective" date, from September 2024 (Germany, France, UK) to November 2024 (Luxembourg, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Iceland). Every European terms line we could read was updated on June 4, 2025.
  • How fresh the evidence is. Germany, Switzerland and Spain were captured in October 2026; Greece and Croatia last in June. Same figure, different confidence.

What to check before ordering

  1. Order in the country where the car will be registered. Your browser language does not decide it.
  2. Open the owner's referral link first and read the line under your model. It should say 1,000 km (or 650 miles in the UK).
  3. If it shows nothing under the model, the owner may have used their 10 referrals for the year. Tesla's FAQ says buyers on a capped link get no buyer benefit. Use another owner's link before you order.
  4. If the page shows a different figure from this table, trust the page you see and tell us. We will add the capture and the date to the changelog.

For how two captures of the same country's page can disagree, and how we pick between them, see when Tesla captures disagree.
