What happened
Tesla China launched a new month-end offer on September 25, 2026: ¥5,000 off any Model 3 and ¥7,000 off Model Y, or 0% financing for up to five years instead, for orders through October 31, 2026, as reported by Drive Tesla Canada and Tesla North that day. The two cannot be combined. Drive Tesla Canada put the starting prices after discounts at ¥225,500 for Model 3 and ¥256,500 for Model Y.

Tesla North described the cash as a "tail-payment" reduction: money "off the final amount due when the buyer takes delivery". It reported two conditions that matter more than the headline. Orders have to be "placed and vehicles delivered" between September 25 and October 31, and the offer is "limited to one discount per vehicle" and cannot be combined with Tesla China's other tail-payment offers.
We could not read Tesla China's own order page; tesla.com refuses automated readers. Every figure here is the publishers', and the order page in China is the final word.
Smaller than September's
This is not the quarter-end offer that ran in September. Tesla North noted that the September round gave a ¥10,000 tail-payment cut on Model Y; the October figure is ¥7,000. CnEVPost had reported the September terms on September 7, 2026, including ¥5,000 off in-stock Model 3 cars, with delivery required by September 30. That offer ended on its date. If you are reading a September article, its figures no longer apply.
Cash or 0%: one or the other
"Customers can not combine the two promos," Drive Tesla Canada wrote. So the choice is real arithmetic. Cash off lowers the price once. Zero interest saves the interest you would otherwise pay over up to five years, which depends on how much you borrow and what rate you could get elsewhere. A buyer paying in full has nothing to gain from 0% and should take the cash. A buyer borrowing a large share of the price over five years should compare the interest saved with ¥5,000 or ¥7,000 before choosing. Ask Tesla for both quotes side by side.
Who it affects
Buyers in mainland China ordering a Model 3 or Model Y who can take delivery by October 31, 2026. It does nothing for an order that delivers in November, and nothing for buyers outside mainland China.
What has not changed
- No referral page for mainland China. Tesla's referral system declares 53 locales, but we have no capture of a referral page for mainland China, so no referral link adds anything to this offer. Our matrix has no row for China for that reason.
- No promo code. The reduction is applied by Tesla on the final payment. Nobody needs to send you a code (why there is no Tesla promo code).
- The pattern. As with the Australian inventory reduction in October (our item), the money is tied to a delivery date, not to a code.
What to do
- Decide between cash off and 0% finance before you order, with both quotes in writing; they do not combine.
- Confirm on Tesla China's order page that your car can be delivered by October 31, 2026. Placing the order in time is not enough, according to Tesla North.
- Ignore September figures (¥10,000 off Model Y); that offer ended on September 30.
- Don't look for a referral link or code for mainland China. Neither applies.
