Tesla referral in Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia: three countries, three rules

By the TeslaPromoCodes.com desk · published October 29, 2026

Short answer

All three countries give a first-time buyer cash off through a referral link, but not on the same cars. Singapore's page showed S$300 off Model 3 and nothing on Model Y (capture of June 17, 2026). The Philippines showed ₱13,000 off both models (August 16, 2026). Malaysia added RM 1,000 off Model Y in August 2026, matching its Model 3 figure (September 4, 2026).

The three rows

The three countries sit next to each other on the map and use the same kind of benefit, cash off the car. That is where the similarity ends. Each country's program sets which models carry the cash, and in 2026 the three made different choices. The figures above come straight from Tesla's own referral pages as archived by the Internet Archive; each row in the matrix links to the full set of captures.

Singapore: Model 3 only

Singapore's referral page listed S$300 off on Model 3 and showed Model Y with no buyer benefit. That was true on the earliest 2026 capture (January 9, 2026) and on the latest one we hold (June 17, 2026). The latest is now more than three months old, so the matrix marks the row as an older capture. Check Tesla's Singapore page before you rely on the figure.

Put the S$300 in proportion. In Singapore the large numbers around a new car are set by the government, not by Tesla. For 2026 the EV Early Adoption Incentive takes 45% off the Additional Registration Fee, capped at S$7,500, according to the National Environment Agency's announcement of September 8, 2025, and it stops after December 31, 2026. We do not work out what that rebate comes to on a particular Tesla, because it depends on the car's registration fee. The point is simply that the referral cash is the smallest line on a Singapore quote, and the registration date is the one with the deadline (the 2026 rebate change).

Singapore is one of several Asia-Pacific countries where only Model 3 carries cash. The wider pattern is in countries that pay on Model 3 only.

Philippines: both models, same amount

The Philippine page is the simplest of the three. It listed ₱13,000 off on Model 3 and ₱13,000 off on Model Y on August 16, 2026, and the same on its earliest 2026 capture (January 8, 2026). No change in the year so far.

In the Philippines the referral cash is not the only thing bundled with a new car. CarGuide.PH reported on January 19, 2026 that the updated Model Y came with one year of complimentary insurance. That is a Tesla Philippines sales offer, separate from the referral program, and it can change on its own. Model Y L, which Top Gear Philippines reported arriving in March 2026, is not in any referral capture we hold, so we cannot say whether the ₱13,000 applies to it. Check the card for your exact model on the referral page before ordering (the 2026 Philippine price list).

Malaysia: Model Y joined in August 2026

Malaysia started 2026 like Singapore: RM 1,000 off on Model 3, Model Y listed with nothing. A capture from July 10, 2026 still showed Model Y at zero. The first capture showing RM 1,000 off on Model Y is from August 21, 2026, and the card reads "Model Y Excl. Launch Series". The latest capture (September 4, 2026) shows the same. Thailand changed the same way a few weeks later; both are in the Offer watch item, and the Launch Series wording is explained in a separate note.

Price context matters here too. Malaysia's duty exemption for fully imported EVs ended at the end of 2025, and the New Straits Times reported on January 12, 2026 that Tesla Malaysia said Model 3 and Model Y prices would stay at 2025 levels. Reports disagree on what the 2026 duty structure is, so we do not predict a price move (the tax-holiday item).

Thailand in one line

Thailand pays ฿8,500 off on Model 3 and, since a capture of September 29, 2026, on Model Y too; it has its own page: Tesla referral in Thailand.

Terms: three effective dates

Refer and Earn terms for the three countries, as archived.
CountryTerms lineArchivedYearly referral cap
SingaporeEffective October 9, 2024May 18, 202610
PhilippinesEffective August 8, 2025May 13, 202610
MalaysiaEffective October 25, 2024May 15, 202610

The Philippine terms are the newest of the three, effective August 8, 2025. All three carry the same core rules as Tesla's other English-language terms pages: the buyer must never have owned a qualifying Tesla product, the benefit applies to the first qualifying purchase only, the referrer can make up to 10 order referrals per calendar year, and a link cannot be credited after the order is placed. A link from an owner who has hit the cap gives the buyer nothing.

What to check before ordering

  1. Open the link before you configure, for the country where the car will be registered. A Singapore resident ordering in Malaysia is a different case; ask Tesla first.
  2. Look at the card for your model on the referral page. In Singapore, Model Y shows no benefit; in Malaysia and Thailand, Launch Series Model Y is excluded.
  3. Confirm the benefit on your order in the Tesla account before delivery. It cannot be added afterwards.
  4. Keep the government side separate: Singapore's EEAI and Malaysia's duty rules are not Tesla offers and change on their own dates.
  5. If a number here is older than three months, compare it with Tesla's current page. We re-read all three monthly.

Note for readers in these countries: when your browser places you in Singapore, the Philippines or Malaysia, this site's referral unit opens Tesla's page for your own country (en_sg, en_ph or en_my). If you use any owner's link, make sure the page is for your own country before you build the car.
