Tesla Model 3 RWD range in Europe rises to 572 km WLTP; Model Y Premium gets Zen Grey

What happened
On August 28, 2026 the Model 3 RWD in left-hand-drive European countries went from 534 km to 572 km WLTP. Drive Tesla Canada reports the 7% gain comes from new tyres, not the battery or software. Tesla North reported the same day that Model Y Premium now offers Zen Grey in place of white.

Drive Tesla Canada says the Model 3 range gain needed no battery, motor or software change: Tesla fitted a different tyre and the WLTP figure moved. The publication does not name the tyre. Tesla North reports that white and black interiors are no longer listed on Model Y Premium in those countries but remain on Model Y Performance, and that the same Zen Grey finish was already offered on Model Y L.
Who this affects
European shoppers who compare a new order with an inventory car. A Model 3 RWD built before the tyre change may still be listed at 534 km, and nothing about its price has to tell you that. On Model Y, a buyer who wanted white on a Premium car can now only find it in inventory, if at all. Tesla North notes that Tesla has not said whether existing Premium orders keep white.
Right-hand-drive countries such as the UK and Ireland are not part of the Model 3 range change as reported; the Zen Grey interior does include the UK.
What did not change
- Prices. Neither report describes a change to the Model 3 RWD or Model Y Premium price. The Zen Grey interior is an option at €1,200, as reported by Tesla North.
- The battery. The range gain comes from tyres; the pack is the same.

How to compare a new order with an inventory car
Read the WLTP figure on the exact car, not the model page. An inventory Model 3 RWD that shows 534 km is the earlier tyre specification; one that shows 572 km is the new one. If an older car is listed below the configurator price, the discount is paying for 38 km of rated range, and you can judge whether it is enough. Tyres are a wear item, so an owner can change them later; the WLTP figure on the documents will not change with them.
For Model Y Premium, the interior colour is printed on every inventory listing. If you want white, filter for it and check the build date. Our note on inventory price reductions explains how those listings are priced.

What to do
- Shopping a Model 3 RWD inventory car: check the WLTP figure on the listing. 534 km means the earlier tyres; 572 km is the current specification.
- Wanted a white interior on Model Y Premium: look in inventory, or move to Performance, where Tesla North says white is still listed.
- Compare value per euro, not the headline price: the same price may now buy more rated range on a new build.
